The council will then complete interviews at the special meeting and plan to take final votes on appointees at the council meeting scheduled for April 16.
Councilmembers discussed logistics: applicants’ resumes and application materials will be made available to council upon request; councilmembers may contact applicants individually before the short‑listing step. Several councilmembers asked that the city clerk create a standard ranking form so submissions are consistent and easy to tabulate.
Council also discussed charter review scope and timing and directed staff to identify legal limits on the number of charter amendments that can be placed on ballot(s) and to prepare recommendations for priorities that the new review board should examine.
