Bayville trustees approve MOAs, contracts and fee changes; introduce rezoning and set hearings

The Bayville Board of Trustees unanimously approved a series of administrative and contract measures and introduced a zoning change for public hearing, the board said during its meeting.

- Memorandum of Agreement with the Villages employees association: The board approved a successor collective bargaining agreement memorandum of agreement covering June 1, 2024, through May 30, 2029 and directed the mayor to execute the agreement.

- Shore-power and dock rules: The board amended a prior resolution to set the shore-power fee to $10 per foot and to set limits on docks and jet-ski docks (language in the meeting established a maximum of two jet-ski docks per household and set a maximum number of boat-power hookups per household in the marina language).
- Contracts and procurement: The board approved a contract not to exceed $3,000 for assistance preparing the annual Consumer Confidence Report (water-quality report) as required by the New York State Department of Health. The board also approved a $6,500 contract with H2M to prepare bid specifications for the villages upcoming residential-refuse/recycling contract; the existing contract with Winter Brothers expires May 21, 2025.
- Permits and minutes: The board approved fire-department meeting minutes (Jan. 27, 2025) and approved a permit request from the Village Church for specified worship services on April 20, 2025 and a series of Sunday services June 1Oct. 26, 2025. The board also approved a local parade permit for May 26, 2025.
All of the listed approvals were recorded as carried by voice vote with no opposing votes recorded on the meetings audio. The rezoning measure for the Creekview Group Marina was introduced for public hearing (April 28, 2025) and will return for further review after the environmental-review process and public comment.
