Bronxville board names court clerk, appoints DPW hire and designates budget officer

Benavides was described as having nearly a decade of court-clerk experience, including service as deputy clerk in Sleepy Hollow and prior roles with the town of Greenburgh and the village of Croton. Palmer noted she started the same day and trustees approved her appointment by voice vote.
DPW hire: Trustees approved hiring Guy Joaquin to the Department of Public Works. Officials described Joaquin as a lifelong area resident with landscaping experience, a commercial driver's license and multi-skill expertise. The board said his first-year pay will be 85% under the current Teamsters contract and stated that amount as $72,180; he was reported to begin work the following day (Jan. 14).
Budget officer designation: The board formally designated Jim Palmer, the village administrator, as the village's budget officer for the fiscal year to prepare the annual operating budget and financial plan, consistent with village law. The motion to appoint Palmer as budget officer was approved by the board.
All personnel measures were approved without recorded opposition on voice votes.
