The council heard a combined presentation on March 31 from a consultant for Fire Ridge LLC seeking annexation of roughly 2.82 acres, a small street/alley vacation of a sliver of Tupelo Lane and a zoning change from AG (agriculture) to R-3 (residential).
Rick Onan of ENA Consulting described the request as a relatively small boundary revision to support a future subdivision and a minor realignment of Tupelo Lane to accommodate revised lot depths. He said the annexed area is a small finger along the back of platted lots and that a final plat is in process to change lot depth. The applicant anticipates bringing the next addition to the planning department later this summer or early next year.
No public testimony opposed the applications at the hearing. The council took the item up in the public hearing portion of the meeting and the clerk moved the matter forward for the planning process; no final vote or adoption was recorded in the public hearing transcript provided.
