In separate contract actions, the board: - Approved a contract amendment reducing an awarded Department of Ecology grant by $68,558 for chain gang activities because staffing shortages limit the sheriff’s ability to deploy the program as originally planned. - Approved an updated agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service that replaces an old 1990 template and establishes a federal housing compensation rate of $130 per day and a $52 hourly reimbursement for transports and off-site escort duties. - Approved a cooperative-service agreement with the Washington State Patrol for shared radio-tower and radio-network use at no cost to either agency. - Approved an amendment to a Washington State Broadband Office contract extending the period of performance through Oct. 31, 2026, to support rural broadband infrastructure between U.S. 101 and SR 112 and west of Joyce. - Approved a three-year renewal with CDW‑G for the Veeam data-center backup application with the vendor agreeing to waive annual escalators.
Each motion to approve was moved and seconded on the record; commissioners called for aye votes and recorded unanimous approval for the consent agenda and the listed contract items.
