Clallam County approves legal, construction, grant and software contracts

The Board of Clallam County Commissioners on March 11 approved a set of procurement and grant actions covering legal representation, park construction, a state grant amendment and software for an economic program.
The board approved a personal services agreement with the county's outside labor-and-employment counsel (contract start and end dates were read into the record). Commissioners also approved a $52,336 contract with Topper Industries LLC for a ramp replacement at the Clallam Bay Day Use Park. The board approved an amendment to a Washington State Department of Agriculture FAERS capital project grant to change the scope of safety and structural work at the fairgrounds dog barn and agility arena; the amendment changed allowable work to address unseen structural needs discovered during the project. Finally, the board approved a contract with Polymorphic for a customer-relationship management (CRM) software tool used to track and report outcomes for the county's Recompete project.
County staff said the lodging-tax advisory fund is the funding source for the Clallam Bay ramp replacement project. On the Recompete CRM contract, staff reported the county has submitted multiple reimbursement requests to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and has been receiving reimbursements on related grants.
Each contract or grant amendment was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote. All approvals passed unanimously.
