Parks board approves occasional equine chiropractic clinic at Liberty Field parking area

The Pacific Parks Board on a February evening approved a request from Georgievich Chiropractic and MFF Equine Veterinary Service to use the Liberty Field parking area — and potentially part of a field — for occasional equine chiropractic and veterinary clinic days.

Hailey De Vries, of 724 West Osage Street, told the board the clinics would not be daily events but “several times throughout the year” and would let veterinarians “haul into us so we could see and treat more community members and their animals at once.” De Vries said the organizers did not expect to need use of the arena every time and preferred the parking or grassy areas.

Parks Superintendent Scott Fowler confirmed the group should complete the park reservation form and work with parks staff on dates and logistics. A board member moved to approve the request; the motion was seconded and carried. Parks staff asked the applicants to submit their preferred dates and fill out the reservation paperwork so staff could confirm exact space, any fees, and operational details.

Board members asked about charges and whether the organizers intended to charge for services; De Vries said the purpose was community access to care and that the applicants would determine charges for services independently.
