On water, Fowler provided a vendor quote showing a single dog-friendly fountain priced at about $5,300. Board members and staff noted that installed cost including shipping and installation and a conservative shipping example could put the fountain and installation near $6,000, with additional costs—potentially several thousand dollars—needed for piping and trenching to connect to the nearest water main or spigot. Fowler said the closest existing water access is near the park bathroom and the pavilion spigot could be a worst-case tie-in point.
Board members did not take a formal vote but directed Fowler to obtain measurements, firm pricing, and to include shade and water options in the parks budget request for fiscal 2025–26. Members discussed prioritizing a shade installation for the small dog park first because the larger area already has a gazebo.
