Aldermen introduced bill 5275, an ordinance to change zoning for an approximately 2.42-acre tract at 2500 West Osage from R-2 (two-family residential) with a PUD to C-2 (arterial commercial). Christian Horn, a real-estate broker representing the buyer (Wagster Riches LLC/Pacific Animal Hospital), said the lot was formerly part of the Pacific Animal Hospital parcel and the buyer intends, in the longer term, to build a permanent structure for animal rehabilitation and a dog run. Horn asked the board to consider reading the bill twice that night so his buyer could meet a contract closing timeline.
