Council approved purchase of 69 kV metering-class current transformers to Western United Electric Supply for $34,105.26 and rejected a nonresponsive bid from MVA Power Inc. (three bidders participated; bid opened Jan. 22). Finally, the council approved purchase awards for pole-mount and single-phase pad-mount transformers to Border States Electric Supply as lowest and best per category for a total of $745,960.36 (eight bidders; bid opened Jan. 21).
Councilors were given the opportunity to pull items for discussion; no items were removed. A motion to accept the consent agenda was made and seconded and the council voted to approve the package.
