Tree purchase: Staff recommended a two-year purchase relationship with Goodmark Nurseries for parkway-tree replacements in 2025 and 2026. The staff presentation said the village's "silver maple reduction plan" requires higher volumes of replacements this year and that the locally sourced vendor has produced high survivability rates at a lower cost than the Suburban Tree Consortium alternative. The committee voted to place the purchase on the council consent agenda.
Sanitary-easement acceptance: The committee accepted a perpetual sanitary-sewer easement at 625 West Palatine Road. Staff explained the original Orchard Hills subdivision plat inadvertently omitted the easement for sanitary sewers running through rear yards in that area; the adjacent property owner has granted the required easement so the village can maintain the sewer.
Storm-sewer easements: The committee accepted perpetual storm-sewer easements for three properties — 1340 East Gloria Drive, 13302 East Gloria Drive (transcript spacing: "13 30 2"), and 315 South Benton Street — that participated in the village's 50/50 drainage improvement program. Staff told the committee construction was delayed until utility conflicts were resolved and that utilities are now in, allowing the village to accept the easements.
Each of the three items was approved and placed on the consent agenda for final council action.
