Kayla McCollum, representing the University of Missouri–Kansas City's LifeCourse Nexus, said her team will hold eight regional Charting the LifeCourse events across Kansas from March 24 through May 15 to promote person‑centered thinking and planning in long‑term services and supports.
McCollum said the events will include an introduction to the Charting the LifeCourse framework, table work to hear what is working and what is not, and opportunities for self‑advocates, families and providers to share practices. "We are doing a total of 8, and they are starting next week," McCollum said.
The regional list includes two Kansas City‑area events (Wyandotte County, and Overland Park/Johnson County), Wichita, Salina, Hays, Garden City, Chanute and Topeka. McCollum asked attendees to register early; she said the Wichita event later that week was nearly full and registration could close when capacity is reached.
McCollum also pointed to related LifeCourse Nexus offerings: ambassador cohorts with space available and the national LifeCourse showcase April 29–30, 2025, with optional pre‑intensives on April 29.
Ending: McCollum said she would post registration and contact information in the meeting chat and invited attendees to email her with questions or to request more information.
