Fire officials give timetable for temporary Station 20 and discuss medic unit replacements

The department said abatement work has delayed some station projects and increased renovation costs, specifically citing more lead abatement than expected at the police firing range project as a separate issue that raised costs.
Council members also asked about Medic 19. Chief staff said a chassis was purchased for Medic 19 after an insurance write‑off and that maintenance data drives replacement decisions; Willis‑Knighton hospital and other partners may assist with replacements in some cases.
