City staff reported to the Transportation Committee that bidding has closed for the Low Line Phase 1 and the city issued an intent to award the contract to Edifice Construction.
Staff said contract negotiations with the city’s legal team are under way and a proposed award and contract will be brought to City Council for approval. A date referenced in the presentation was corrected on the record: staff said the council contract consideration will be on April 8 (corrected from an earlier verbal “August 8”). If Council approves the award, staff said they would target beginning work on the project by the end of the year.
The presentation noted the award is an intent to award and remains subject to final contract negotiation and council approval. Committee members asked no substantive follow‑up questions and thanked staff for the update.
