Oversight commission approves $737.48 to replace office desk and chair

The Ann Arbor Independent Community Police Oversight Commission voted to spend $737.48 from its commission budget to buy a new desk and chair for its office used by commission staff and visiting commissioners.

Chair Carter opened discussion with concerns about using commission funds for furniture, saying she was “reluctant to spend our money for furniture.” Commissioners who had visited the office described cramped conditions and supported purchasing a modern desk and an ergonomic chair to make the space usable for staff and visitors.
