The West Carrollton City Council on its regular meeting approved Resolution 1‑2025, authorizing the city manager to notify property owners of assessments for the city’s 2024 sidewalk, curb and gutter program.
The resolution, read by Clerk of Council Tracy Moore, directs notification of property owners and places a list of affected properties and estimated final costs on file in the clerk’s office. City staff member Miss Holloway told the council, "Our 2024 curbs sidewalk, curb, and gutter program is complete. This resolution authorizes the city manager to notify each property owner of the assessment being levied upon their property. A list of the affected properties along with the estimated final cost for each is provided in your council packet. Property owners will have until 02/13/2025, to object to the work performed."
Councilor Angie Tomlin moved to approve the resolution; the motion was seconded by Angie Zenny and carried on a voice vote. Council members recorded as voting yes were Keith Tilton, Angie Tomlin, Mister Boyle, Angie Zenny, Mister Dobson and Mayor Barnhart.
The vote implemented the formal step that allows property owners to review the itemized assessments and file objections by the Feb. 13, 2025 deadline. The clerk’s office maintains the list of affected properties and the estimated final cost for each on the public packet provided to council.
No objections or appeals were recorded during the meeting; any subsequent objections must follow the process and deadline stated in the resolution.
