After discussion, a board member moved to recommend preliminary plat approval with the conditions specified beginning on page 10 of the staff report; another member seconded the motion. The board approved the recommendation by voice vote; the chair declared the motion carried. Staff said the item is scheduled for the Broadwater County Commissioners’ agenda on Wednesday, April 2 (roughly between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.), and that the county’s decision deadline for the application was extended to April 28 because a prior five-day review pause had shifted the timeline.
The board also discussed the numbering discrepancies between Supplement 4 (preliminary-plat elements checklist), Supplement 5 (subdivision application and preliminary-plat submittal requirements) and page 22 of the regulations. Staff suggested the board could propose an amendment to the county regulations to correct numbering, but said such a change would require the commissioners to hold a public hearing; the board did not place that amendment on today’s agenda and tabled further action for a future meeting.
No formal conditions from the staff report were amended on the record during the meeting; the board’s formal recommendation to the commissioners was to approve the preliminary plat with the staff-recommended conditions as stated in the staff report starting on page 10.
