Strategic Housing Finance Corporation (Strategic HFC) told the Travis County Commissioners Court on March 27 that it has completed its first year as an independent organization, established reserve and housing production funds, and launched a tenant assistance program for families affected by the Rosemont at Oak Valley property sale.
The presentation, led by Jan Wenig, president of Strategic HFC’s board, and Diana Gray, Strategic’s executive director, summarized 2024 organizational changes and described priorities for 2025: stronger governance, asset monitoring, tenant engagement and targeted use of a newly grown housing production fund. Gray said Strategic completed an operational transition away from the Housing Authority’s administrative services in April 2024 and by year end had established “a reserve fund and a housing production fund.” Wenig and Gray told the court the housing production fund has grown to nearly $10,000,000.
