Mark Mulvie of Madison Road addressed the Trenton City Council during the public-comment period on Jan. 16 and asked the council to move forward with a Convention of States resolution he had previously provided to the city.
Mulvie told the council the proposal is aimed at encouraging state-level action to limit federal power and urged local officials to send a message of support to Ohio state officials. "Please agree to move forward with the conventional states resolution that I left with you in the past to send a message of support to our state officials," Mulvie said. He asked the council to notify him when they would take it up and said he would be present to answer questions.
After Mulvie spoke, a member of staff — recorded as Mr. Ziffel — said he would look at the document.
There was no recorded council action on the request at the Jan. 16 meeting.
