Mayor announces warming station and sets State of the City date

Mayor Michelle Blanton told the council that Vineyard Church on Pickaway Street will operate a warming station on nights when temperatures are in the single digits. The church will provide space from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.; people must arrive before midnight to stay overnight, and hours may change based on need. Announcements and any schedule changes will be posted on the Vineyard Church Facebook page, the mayor said.
Blanton also announced the State of the City address will be held in January at 6 p.m. in the Circleville High School auditorium. The mayor noted the warming station and the State of the City information to encourage residents and media to share the details during the upcoming cold nights.
