District operations manager Darnell Dean described the transportation challenge as budget‑driven and outlined immediate next steps. “The largest challenge with the late buses is that because of our budget constraints, we had to reduce to 2,” Dean said. He said operations had shared new route assignments with coaches and school leaders to increase predictability and that he planned to meet with the late‑bus drivers, ride the routes and confirm stop patterns.
Facilities planning and timelines
Board members and the superintendent said a broader facilities plan is under development. School leaders told students they expect construction planning documents for a high‑school expansion to begin by the end of 2025 and that the district is identifying capital funds and additional sources to support facility enhancements. The district noted summer enrichment and hiring fairs are being scheduled and urged families to watch for enrollment details.
