Committee advances $18.045 million public works facility concept; staff to seek bids and financing

Monroe — City staff presented detailed plans March 11 for a multi-building public works campus that would consolidate administration, vehicle storage, a salt barn, mechanics bays, a wash bay and future cold storage. Staff said redesign work and alternate packages reduced an initial estimate above $20 million to a current target of approximately $18,045,000 and asked the committee to allow the project to move to roughly 95 percent design and solicitation.
