City staff recommended the Chicago County Press as the city’s official newspaper and the council approved the designation by motion and unanimous voice vote. Council also designated the city’s depository banks and investment vehicles and approved an annual electronic fund transfer resolution authorizing the city administrator to make certain transfers in advance of council claims approval when needed, such as for bond payments.
