He said the intent is transparency and to remove ambiguous benefit practices.
Representative Nicholson moved to amend RS 32,647 to add an additional special taxing district (identified in the draft as DD512) that had been inadvertently omitted; the amendment was accepted and Representative Nicholson moved to introduce the RS as amended. The committee approved introduction by voice vote.
The motion to introduce RS 32,647 as amended carried; there was no further substantive debate recorded.
