The House State Affairs Committee voted to send House Concurrent Resolution 12 to the full House with a due-pass recommendation after brief remarks from Representative Barbara Ehart and Boise State head football coach Spencer Danielson.
Representative Barbara Ehart introduced the resolution and brought Coach Spencer Danielson to the committee to speak about the team’s season and community support. Coach Danielson told the committee, “This isn't just a job. This is a calling, to develop people, to develop young men.”
The resolution recognizes Boise State’s recent season and expresses appreciation for the program and its leadership. Representative Crane moved that the committee send the resolution to the House floor with a due-pass recommendation; the committee adopted the motion by voice vote and the chair declared the motion carried.
Coach Danielson spoke about community ties and player development, saying the program “is the front porch of this amazing state” and noting many players remain in Idaho after graduation. He thanked first responders and community members for their support and invited attendees to “come to the blue, come to practice” to connect with the team.
No formal amendments or additional testimony were recorded in the committee minutes. The committee proceeded to other agenda items after the motion carried.
