Committee returns SB 1319 changing election-officer certificate dates despite member concerns

At least one member expressed concern that the change would allow a secretary of state to "flood the election worker roles with their picks," calling that possibility problematic. Another member said they were voting no because they had not been able to determine the county association's opposition to the bill prior to the hearing. The committee returned the bill with a do-pass recommendation by a 5–2 vote.
