County, Army Corps discuss funding options for long-term repairs to Lagos Wash

If that funding cannot be used, he said the Army Corps' Continuing Authorities Program (CAP) could be an option; the meeting referenced a CAP program cap of roughly $15 million.
Valdez also said that portions of a sewer line that originate in Mexico run under the wash and that IBWC and other partners have an interest in protecting that infrastructure; those operational constraints will shape any proposed design. He told the board staff will present a strategy for approval when ready.
