Neighbors facility reports ongoing CNA training and modest admissions in February

On referrals and admissions for February, Carmen summarized numbers in the packet: 106 residents at the start of the month, 73 referrals, 16 admissions, 57 referrals not admitted and 106 residents at month-end. She said 0 transfers to other facilities, 8 resident deaths and one discharge home. Carmen explained month-to-month totals can differ because of admission and discharge dates across month boundaries.
Carmen also said several recent admissions came from other nursing homes where prior COVID outbreaks had prevented earlier transfers, and that recent months have seen few COVID-related restrictions and available rooms for admissions.
The committee received the update as an informational report. No formal action was taken on the CNA program or referral figures at the meeting.
