Chavez described the firm as a general-lines agency that manages health, dental, vision, life and other ancillary lines and said the agency supports enrollment and eligibility, payroll interfaces and EDI feeds to carriers.
Chavez listed local carriers the agency places business with, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and Humana, and said the firm currently serves municipal and school-district clients in the region. He said Salazar provides local administrative staff to “keep everything running smoothly and efficiently” and that the firm offers a “no fee approach” if appointed broker of record for a client.
Commissioners asked no substantive follow-up questions, and no procurement or contract action was taken during the meeting.
The presentation concluded without an immediate vote or directive to staff; commissioners moved on to the next agenda item.
