The borough’s Trail Study Subcommittee recommended GAI Consultants Inc. to perform a borough trail feasibility study and council voted to approve the recommendation on April 8.
Manager Bridal said the subcommittee reviewed proposals from nine firms and recommended GAI by consensus. The total contract price is $78,000; that amount was budgeted in the bond fund and the borough will provide one half ($39,000) from bond funding. Council approved the motion by voice vote.
Why it matters: the feasibility study will examine route options, costs and potential impacts for a borough trail; the study is the preliminary step before design or grant applications for construction.
