"This program is geared towards small businesses, entrepreneurs, anyone who owns a business or is interested in starting a business," Lane said. She said panel topics will include marketing and communications, access to finance and funding, and a small‑business‑owner panel featuring local entrepreneurs.
Lane said registration includes breakfast and lunch and that there is a registration fee (she said she was "not sure if it's 20 or $25 but I can double check and get back with you"). The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Lane said proceeds help the governor's office plan and ensure attendee commitment.
City staff said flyers would be left with the council and the EDC and that additional copies could be made available at city hall. The council did not take formal action on the announcement; the item was presented during the public comment period as an informational announcement from the EDC.
