Commissioners appoint Wilson County Historical Commission members, name Anthony Delgado chair

The Wilson County Commissioners Court appointed members to a county historical commission on the recommendation of Anthony Delgado, who asked the court to approve volunteers who had responded to a public call for service.
Delgado said the county issued a call for volunteers in November, publicized the call in the Wilson County News and notified local historical societies and museums. He asked the court to appoint eight volunteers and name Delgado chair for the 2025–2026 term.
Commissioner Martin moved to appoint Anthony Delgado as chair and the volunteers Melinda Creech, Jeb Elrod, Sandy Migel, Richard Nims, Steve Robb, Tambria Reed, Elaine Stevens and Nikki Storer as members; Commissioner Bridal seconded. The court approved the appointments by voice vote. Delgado said he will submit the roster the Texas Historical Commission requires and return next month with an update on last year’s activities and discussion of a historical marker currently in storage.
The court did not take further action beyond the appointments.
