Wilson County Commissioners approve routine motions, appoint historical commissioners, accept contract rescission

Wilson County Commissioners Court approved a series of routine administrative motions during its regular session, including bonds and professional appointments, accepted a contractor’s notice to rescind a renewal request, and authorized a public sale of surplus furniture while requiring statutory compliance.

The court voted to approve bonds and continuations presented earlier in the meeting. Commissioner Perdola moved to approve the bonds; Commissioner Martin seconded. The court then approved a proposed Xerox sales and services agreement for the Tax Assessor-Collector’s office that includes a monthly service package. The Tax Assessor-Collector, Dawn Barnett, told the court the Xerox contract includes 10,000 black-and-white copies and 2,500 color copies in a monthly fee of $392 and that county IT had reviewed the contract.
