The Hoffman Estates Senior Commission held its annual St. Patrick’s Day luncheon, drawing a “house full,” the commission chair said, and featured a program by local historian Jim Gibbons.
“Hi, everyone. I'm Lillian Clinton, chair of our senior commission, and we're at our monthly luncheon. And as you could see, we have a house full,” Lillian Clinton said at the event.
The program included a presentation by Jim Gibbons on Chicago history and related anecdotes. Clinton announced that next month’s luncheon will offer a free meal to seniors who bring food donations for the village food pantry; those who do not bring food will be charged $10 for the meal, she said. "Only when you come, if you don't have food, there will be a $10 charge for the meal," Clinton said.
The commission thanked program volunteers and the luncheon caterer and encouraged attendance at future monthly events.
