Board approves consent agenda, course approval and professional contracts in unanimous votes

The Midway ISD Board of Trustees approved the majority of consent-agenda items and several individual items during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
The board approved consent items numbered 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9–13 in a single motion. Trustee Mr. Tullis made the motion and Trustee Mr. Alford seconded; the motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
Board members separately approved item 4 (new course approval) after brief discussion. Trustee Mr. Tullis moved the item; Trustee Miss Vick seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved professional-contract recommendations as presented by the superintendent. Trustee Mr. Witt moved that item; Trustee Mr. Tullis seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Several personnel items were placed on the agenda for consideration and the board planned to address them in closed session later in the meeting.
