Work is planned to begin immediately after school recesses and the administration expects the project to be completed during the summer; contractors will keep the school functioning during the work.
Committee members asked about the warranty and noted prior concerns about freeze-related roof and pipe damage; staff replied they had built contingency and replacement work into the appropriation and expected a multi-year warranty on the roofing system. Staff also clarified that the alternates would be selected based on the final contract price and the district’s available appropriation.
