The Northampton Community Preservation Committee unanimously approved the minutes from its Nov. 6, 2024 meeting during the March 19 session, and members discussed an emergency accommodation that has allowed the committee to meet virtually.
Martha made the motion to approve the Nov. 6 minutes and Chris Hellman seconded. Sarah conducted a roll-call vote; committee members voting yes were Chris Hellman, Julia, Devin, Chris Tate, Martha, Kevin, Jeff, Lemmy and Anne Bridal. The motion passed unanimously.
Committee members also discussed a COVID-era emergency accommodation that has permitted virtual or hybrid meetings. The chair said the governor was expected to act on extending the authority; Sarah, committee staff, said the House had passed an extension and the measure was moving to the Senate. No formal policy change was adopted by the committee at the meeting.
The committee handled this procedural business early in the March 19 meeting before moving on to project presentations and public comment scheduled for subsequent meetings in the funding round.
