Councilor Stan Moulton, chair of the Committee on City Services, said at the committee’s Jan. 6, 2025 meeting that the only item referred to the committee was an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Transportation and Parking Commission and identified the applicant as Randy Sailor of 102 Black Birch Trail in Ward 4.

The committee did not take a final vote on the appointment. Instead, members agreed that Councilor Dobbs will interview Sailor; the committee noted the interview can be completed before the committee’s next meeting, scheduled for Feb. 3, 2025. The committee also said the minutes from its Dec. 16 meeting were not yet available and will appear on the next agenda.

The meeting lasted about two minutes. A motion to adjourn was made and seconded; a roll-call vote recorded "yes" from Councilor Stan Moulton, Councilor LaBarge, Councilor Dobbs, and Councilor Rothenberg, and the motion to adjourn passed. No other business was taken up.

The Transportation and Parking Commission appointment will return to the committee or council after the interview and any subsequent referral or recommendation, according to the timeline discussed at the Jan. 6 meeting.
