The Apple Valley City Council on March 27 approved a proclamation designating April 25, 2025, as Arbor Day and May 2025 as Arbor Month.

City staff member Matt told the council the city will hold its annual tree‑planting event on Thursday, May 8 at Diamond Path Park at 5 p.m., and noted that the city has been named a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for the 40th consecutive year.

The council approved the proclamation by voice vote. Staff asked the city to publish event details so residents can attend the May 8 planting.
