Village accepts three roadwork contracts for 2025 season

The Village of Waukesha Village Board voted March 27 to accept three vendor bids for 2025 pavement maintenance, awarding the asphaltic seal coating contract to Scott Construction, the flex-patching contract to Thunder Road and the crack-filling contract to Farner Asphalt.
Board members approved the seal-coating package as a single contract rather than taking alternate road groupings; the board’s packet identified one full bid for the boiler-slag seal coat. The board accepted Thunder Road’s lower flex-patching bid of $298,875 over Farner’s higher bid, and accepted Farner Asphalt’s lower quote of $32,001.76 for crack filling after comparing two proposals.
Clerk/Treasurer Chris presented the bids and recommended the full-package award for the seal-coating work to avoid piecemeal complications from prior years. Trustees discussed the alternate bid format and noted the full-package award removes the need to pick individual road segments.
The board moved and seconded each award; each carried with affirmative votes from members present.
The awards set the village’s 2025 pavement program in motion; scheduling, mobilization and the precise start dates will be coordinated with contractors and village public works staff ahead of construction season.
