The funds accepted were: $25,000 from the Peter and Johnson Trust of 1997 to benefit Wickham Hall; $407,951.66 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for 2023 disaster expenses; and $51,250 from the Manetak Alliance for sustainable transportation for rail-trail safety crossing improvements on Matthews Road.
Selectboard members asked whether the acceptance and expenditure required more than one step; staff said a single authorization by the board was sufficient to accept and expend the unanticipated funds. The board then approved the motion to accept the receipts as noted. The chair called the vote in the affirmative.
What happens next: staff will record the receipt and post the funded projects to the appropriate departmental budgets. The Manetak Alliance funds were described as designated for rail-trail crossing improvements on Matthews Road.
