Resident Brian Burke announced volunteer organizational meetings on April 23 at 7 p.m. and April 26 at 2 p.m. aimed at reducing water lilies on Lake Louise, with volunteer work sessions expected to start Sunday afternoons in May. Staff said communications about the volunteer effort and limb pickup will be shared across community channels.
The board also heard a reminder that the nominations and elections committee is accepting volunteers via the Sudden Valley website and that several committees are recruiting members, including long‑range planning and short‑term committees. Directors and staff encouraged community participation in these events and in upcoming public meetings on planning topics.
The $500 authorization covers AV rental (microphones and projection/sound) and modest refreshments for the May 12 event; the motion passed as presented.
