NetRMA awards Harrison County $300,000 for Lansing Switch Road reconstruction

The county judge and commissioners accepted the presentation and posed for a recognition photo. Green said the RMA contribution is “not all of the funds necessary” and that Harrison County will finance additional parts of the reconstruction.
NetRMA staff introduced at the meeting included Gary Halbrooks, chairman of the board; Diane Simmons, director of engineering; and Colleen Cobley, director of communications and administration. Harrison County Judge Sims and commissioners attended the presentation in the historic courthouse in Marshall.
The announcement follows previous NetRMA contributions the county described as benefiting local roads. No formal vote on the grant was recorded in the meeting transcript; the session treated the transfer as a presentation and photo opportunity.
County and NetRMA officials did not provide a project schedule, a total estimated project cost, or a breakdown of which portions the county will fund during the presentation. Those details were not specified in the meeting record.
