TAC presenters review risk management services available to Gonzales County

Representatives from the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) delivered an overview of services available to Gonzales County, emphasizing training, claims review and HR support the pool provides.
The presentation outlined the pool's coverage areas — including workers' compensation, property and liability coverages — and described on-site training and HR consultation options available at no additional cost to members. Isaac Garcia, the county's risk control consultant, described his work with the county's HR office and the judge to review losses and coordinate training. Lisa McKague, risk management consultant, said TAC RMP provides liability coverage oversight and "boots on the ground" training to reduce lawsuits and risk exposure. Lisa Eades framed HR policy support and Darren Jackson noted law-enforcement-specific consulting and on-site training.
TAC presenters said their services are considered part of the county's cost of coverage and invited county staff to attend the TAC County Management Risk Conference scheduled for April 9'11; as TAC members, county attendees may register to attend in person or virtually at no cost.
The court recorded no formal action on the presentation; staff and commissioners thanked the TAC representatives for their services and encouraged continued collaboration.
