City officials announced that a housing rehabilitation meeting will be held on April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. The city said its grant agreement is complete and the program can assist up to 10 owner-occupied, single-family homes with rehabilitation grants of up to $60,000 per home, subject to income eligibility requirements.
Mayor Bede said the program is income-based and limited to single-family owner-occupied properties. The mayor said the city received official approval to proceed the prior morning and that details on eligibility and the application process will be provided at the April 9 meeting.
The city also publicly thanked police officers and partner agencies for work on a recent case; the mayor acknowledged law enforcement and partner agencies for their efforts in advancing the case to a chargeable stage. That recognition was a separate city comment and did not involve a formal council action.
