Officer Cameron Adair presented a sequence of inspections beginning Nov. 6, 2024, showing multiple vehicles on the property, including one with flat tires and another with grass growing up to the frame. Adair said the red vehicle had been removed by March 26, 2025, but two vehicles remained; one appeared supported by blocks and not readily movable.
Akers told the board the vehicles are classic cars; she said repairs had been underway, that one car had already been sold and removed, and that she would make the vehicles operable or otherwise remove them. Adair told the board an operable vehicle must be able to move forward and backward at least three feet to be considered not abandoned under the code; a tag is not required to meet that test.
Board members voted to accept staff’s recommendation requiring correction by April 11, 2025, with a $100-per-day fine if not corrected. The motion carried by voice vote with a 4–1 tally; the transcript does not identify the dissenting member by name. The board said staff may re-inspect the property and bring a repeat violation if the condition returns.
