The finance committee voted to place ordinance 25‑06, the interlocal agreement with the City of Rocky River for resurfacing of Higley Road, on third reading after Engineer Kerber described edits to the draft agreement.
Engineer Kerber said Rocky River supplied a revised exhibit that added estimated project, engineering and construction-administration costs for the Rocky River portion and inserted clarifying language in Article 6, sections B and C, about how costs will be determined and allocated between the two cities. Kerber said the contract will use separate bid pages for Fairview Park work and Rocky River work and that contractors’ pay requests will reflect that separation so it is clear which city’s work was completed.
After Kerber’s explanation Council members moved to advance ordinance 25‑06 to third reading; the motion carried on a recorded vote of the members present.
No final contract was executed in committee; the ordinance will return to the full council for final consideration.
