Council committee advances 2025 street repair program ordinances to full council

Councilman Simerly moved to place the ordinance on third reading; the roll call recorded Simerly — yes; Menick — absent; Greenfield — yes; Cobain — yes; Waring — yes; King — absent; Nann — yes. The motion carried.
The companion ordinance, 25‑02, authorizes solicitation of bids and allows the mayor to enter a contract with the selected bidder to perform the work described in 25‑01. Committee members similarly voted to remove 25‑02 from committee and place it on third reading; the committee vote for 25‑02 was recorded as all present members voting yes.
The committee session concluded at approximately 7:02 p.m. with both measures set for third reading before the full council.
