The council approved Ordinance No. 2025-01, authorizing a change order with Rocky Road Paving for an additional $10,750 to complete road restorations from various projects; Ordinance No. 2025-02, authorizing the city manager to enter into a contract with the Ohio State Historic Preservation Office to administer programs tied to federal funds; and two ordinances to repeal and replace payroll and compensation language affecting city employees and the Ashtabula City Health District. The council also approved a transfer of an existing liquor license in the downtown building from Cork and Kettle Inc. to Dublin Down Pub and Eatery; the transfer was handled as part of the evening’s consent items.

The council first moved to handle the agenda in consent format (motion by Mrs. Di Giacomo; second by Miss Holman), waived reading of the legislation, and waived the charter requirement of two readings (motions by Missus Foglio; second Miss Holman).
