McFarland High School students report Microsoft certifications, community visits and events ahead

A McFarland High School student gave the board a report Feb. 3 highlighting recent student achievements and upcoming events at the high school.
The presenter told the board 16 students recently became Microsoft Office Associate certified and congratulated students honored at the 41st annual Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Recognition Breakfast. The student report said the Connect club visited the McFarland Villa on Jan. 31 to spend time with residents and hopes to expand visits to more clubs.
Upcoming events listed for students included advising night on Feb. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. (with more than 50 colleges and employers expected to attend), a school community week with club activities and dress-up days, and a scheduled guest visit tied to Tom Farley on or about Feb. 27. The speaker also reported athletics updates and congratulated the high school dance team for placing first in a jazz routine at the WACPC state competition in La Crosse.
Board members thanked the student for the update; no board action was required.
